DAY 1
Embark on a scenic journey along the Amazon River for approximately one hour to reach the Peruvian indigenous community of Gamboa. Upon arrival, settle into comfortable hammocks with mosquito nets for accommodation. The adventure into the jungle begins with an immersive 2 to 3-hour trek, encountering a diverse array of wildlife including monkeys, insects, towering trees, birds, spiders, and captivating many species of butterflies. After a satisfying lunch and some rest, embark on an afternoon boat or canoe ride along the river to observe a variety of birds such as macaws, parrots, kingfishers, herons, toucans, and horned screamers.

Alligator Spotting: Following dinner, our knowledgeable guide will demonstrate how to safely catch and release caimans, offering a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures up close.

Nocturnal Trekking: As night falls, embark on a one-hour nocturnal trek through the jungle to encounter tarantulas, scorpions, snakes, nocturnal mammals, frogs, and an abundance of insects before settling into hammocks with mosquito nets for a restful night's sleep.


DAY 2
Begin your day with a fresh local breakfast before embarking on a serene canoe ride around lakes or through small channels, providing ample opportunities to spot a variety of bird species and playful monkeys. Navigate through special shortcuts to maximize sightings in minimal time. For those interested, there's also the option of fishing during this time, with activities lasting one to two hours. Our journey concludes with a satisfying lunch in the community before returning to Leticia via the Amazon River, offering the chance to encounter the enchanting pink and gray dolphins.

NOTE: Our tours at Expeditions George of the Jungle Tours are designed with flexibility in mind, ensuring a personalized experience

for our guests while minimizing our impact on the environment. We limit each tour to a maximum of 10 people to provide

individualized attention and care. The specific activities and duration of each excursion may vary depending on factors such as the

group size, guide, and the season of the year. Due to the humid nature of Leticia, Amazonas, the weather can be very unpredictable.

During dry seasons (January to March and July to September), expect longer hikes, while rainy seasons (April to June and October

to December) offer more boat-based activities.
